About Ragland Wagyu..
Tommy & Clarice Ragland's journey with Wagyu cattle began with an article Tommy found in a 2012 copy of Farm Credit Magazine. The article spoke of the marbling, taste, & tenderness the Wagyu breed is known for. Tommy's interest was piqued! After the initial article, Tommy began networking and seeking out the experts of the field. Many of those experts' can be found on our "Links" page. It wasn't long before Tommy knew he had to have a part in raising and advocating for this very special breed. He bought his first Wagyu cow on Labor Day in 2013, and the rest is history!

In a relatively short span of time, Ragland Wagyu has grown into a thriving farm with locations in Hazel Green, Alabama and Frankewing, Tennessee, providing bred cows, heifers, bulls, & embyros of the highest quality.

In August 2019, the Tennessee Cattleman's Association did an article titled, "Wagyu Beef: Where the East Meets the West" on Ragland Wagyu.
